FUNDRAISERS
Contents
  1. Super Bowl Party. Dates: January (Saturday prior to Super Bowl) Great food, and fun. Get together with friends for fun before the big game, while helping our kids.

  2. Fish Fries. Dates: Fridays during lent (March - April) Great fish on Fridays during Lent.

  3. Booster Club. The Men’s Club sponsors various ticket raffles throughout the year.

The children of the school and Parish need the support of their parents either in volunteering to work at one of the fundraisers or just attending and enjoying some of the best fish you've have ever had.

To insure that each child has the opportunity to enjoy athletics at St. Val's, all of the fundraisers are needed. Many of the same people give their time year after year and to those people we are very grateful. They have made our fundraisers in the past very successful. But we need some new faces and new friends, whether you like to help setup or cleanup, take tickets, or sell tickets it is all very much appreciated. If you can help, please contact a member of the Men's Club or Athletic Director.

Remember without the revenues generated by fundraisers we would be forced to raise registration fees, or limit the number of players and/or the number of teams.

St. Valentine's continues to support our children:
WE NEED YOUR HELP!

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Contents
  1. Sign up your child on time to play the sport of their choice. This is very important for many reasons. If you cannot make sign-ups because of another obligation, please have another parent or friend sign up your child. If you cannot find anyone else to sign your child up, call the Athletic Director before the time of sign-ups. After sign-ups, we cannot guarantee a spot for our child. On or about your child's first practice, parents will be asked to pay the registration fee, provide a completed signed physical form, and sign the CYO Liability Waiver Form.

Note: We know that from time to time families have financial difficulties and may find it hard to pay the registration fees associated with our sports programs. Please contact the Athletic Director: we will find away for your child to participate. No child is turned away because they cannot pay the fee.

  2. Obey all rules and regulations of the sports program.

  3. Help work, and support the fundraisers.

  4. Encourage your child to obey and respect their coach(es). Please remember that none of the coaches are professionals and have offered to help by coaching the team(s). If you have a concern, talk to the coach first. If you cannot reach an understanding or are still not satisfied, contact the Athletic Director.

  5. Get your child to practice and games on time. Also, pick your child up on time. We will not leave children unattended, but please be courteous, as you may not be the only one with a busy schedule. If you are unable to pick your child up on time, arrange to have someone else pick them up or call the coach ahead of time.

  6. Carry necessary insurance on your child to cover cost of injuries, if they occur.

  7. Obey the uniform guidelines, and encourage your athlete to do the same. (Jerseys are to be tucked in at all times during games).

  8. Encourage your child not to quit once they have signed up. The parent will forfeit the registration fee; plus due to the small size of our school some of our teams have just enough players to field a team. If enough players quit a team, we might have to fold the team. This is unfair to those who want to play.

  9. Every parent is responsible for his or her actions during all sporting events. Parents can and will be asked to leave the gym or playing field if they continuously harass players, officials, or other members of the audience. Paid admission to an event does not give anyone the right to scream at the officials.

  10. If anyone physically attacks a coach, player, official, or anyone connected with the sports program, that parent, player WILL be immediately removed from all sports.

  • Every coach must have a parent meeting at the start of each sport. If your coach does not have one, please inform the Athletic Director.

UNIFORM POLICY
Contents
  1. Uniforms will be worn for St. Valentine games only!
    • They are not to be worn to practice, unless there are special circumstances (pictures being taken, practice games, etc.)
    • Do not wear to the activities of other organizations
    • Uniforms (jerseys) may be worn on designated spirit days
    • Do not allow others to wear your uniform
    • Jerseys will be worn tucked in during all games and events.
  2. Parents are financially responsible for uniforms and any equipment lost or damaged due to neglect.

  3. Please wash uniforms according to the washing instructions. Most game "jerseys", including any delicate pieces, need to be drip-dried. Please follow the laundry instructions which will help make the uniforms last longer. Do not tear the tags out of the shirts and pants.

  4. If your child tears or wears out their uniform or equipment and it cannot be mended, or repaired, please call the Athletic Director for a replacement. It is understandable that an item might wear out just through normal use with no one being at fault.

  5. Uniform turn-ins, for those teams who do not have a city tournament, are to bring a change of clothes to the last game and turn in uniforms at that time.

  6. BASKETBALL: All Players will dress in appropriate attire before and after all games. i.e. Khaki pants and an appropriate shirt. Do not wear your uniform after the game if you are going to remain at the gym to watch additional games.

Teams who play in a city tournament are to bring a change of clothes to each city tournament game and turn in their uniform when/if they lose or after the winning game.

If your child quits a team: The parent needs to call the Athletic Director as soon as possible to make arrangements to turn in the uniform. The uniform must be turned in clean.
